Welcome to Tyssedal - a different and dramatic Hardanger!

The impressive Tyssedal Power plant is the jewel in the crown of our museum, and a variety of guided tours are offered. An exciting history is told: from the beginning of last century till today, the history of waterfalls who changed Norway. Our multimedia show comes highly recommended. We also have exhibitions and a shop. In summer the place is a bustle of activities; local artisans make use of the workshops and smithy. you can get a cup of coffee in the museum café, there are activities for children, and art exhibitions.

The old worker-houses lets you go back in time and see how peopke in Odda lived some centuries ago. You can relax in the beautiful garden there as long as you like. Contact the science center or the Touristinformation in Odda for a guided tour.
